I've got three types of models available when synchronizing (in order of appearance in the drop down menu) - Change Sets, Workspace and Java Workspace. When I'm not using the drop down menu to switch between models but I simply click on the button I'm not able to switch to the Change Set model. BTW, tooltip on the button when switching to Workspace model says "Show File System Resources", we could change it to "Show Workspace" to be consisted with the model name and other tooltips for the drop menu. I do know about some regressions in the Sync View[1] but still wanted to log this bug just for the record. Is it like that because change sets are really an alternate view of the workspace model?
The Change Set model is added by the Synchronize participant whereas the others are obtained from the synchronization context. It woudl appear that the button only cycles through the models that are contained in the context.
This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
