This is a requirement for BIDI lanaguages such as Hebrew and Arabic.
There are situations where a different directionality (i.e. SWT.LEFT_TO_RIGHT/RIGHT_TO_LEFT) is needed for different columns in the same table. 

Current API only allows to set the directionality of the entire table.

I think we need this capability also at a table row level and leaf cell level as the finest level of granularity.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.
