I recently updated to 3.3.1 and I'm now seeing fairly regular freezing of the UI. The symptoms are a spinning beachball of death and 100% cpu activity on the eclipse process. Terminating and restarting Eclipse leaves the project in a very weird state, with lots of non-existent errors. 

I haven't yet found any consistent way to repeat the problem. If there's any additional data I can collect, let me know.

My platform is a MacBook Pro (x86) and MacOS X 10.4.10.

When you say up "updated", how did you do this?  Was it an unzip to a fresh directory or did you overwrite the existing install?  Did you keep the same workspace?  What version were you moving from?

I found a rouge plugin that may have been causing the problem. I'll reopen if it occurs again.
