Build ID: 3.3 Steps To Reproduce: Platform workbench's delete action, does not revert back after canceling delete. If I go to Navigator view and select a bunch of projects and try deletion. Then I would cancel the job, the projects that have been deleted so far are gone and not back to original. More information:
investigate for M3
This is unfortunate behavior but not a priority for 3.4, and not specific to the undo behavior. I checked the behavior in 3.2.2, 3.3, and the current 3.4 stream to make sure that our changes in undo space hadn't caused a regression. For all cases, I am choosing the "delete project contents from disk" option. In 3.2.2 - You can cancel delete mid-stream, and there is no undo available. You are left with whatever files had not been deleted yet. In 3.3 - Same behavior, except the dialog that confirms the delete warns you that if you delete the project contents, it is not undoable. Canceling midstream still leaves you with part of your files deleted. In 3.4 - There is a new delete dialog and it seems to be harder to cancel mid-stream. I was only able to cancel after the delete was complete. Of course, I could not undo or get the files back. Also note that cancelling does not affect the ability to undo. Deleting project contents from disk destroys the local history so there has never been a way to get it back. It could be considered unfortunate that with the 3.4 dialog, you cannot cancel during the delete as readily as before. At least a partial cancel would save part of your files?
This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
