I would be nice to be able to choose between the (at least) 2 versions of the win32 native Scale widget.

Currently SWT only uses a Scale with "ticks" on both sides, but Windows also supports Scales with ticks only on one side. The later is smaller, and can be usefull when space is limited...
(See Steve comment on : https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=155201)

This could be implemented as a hint flag.

My use case :
I have to put a Scale in an RCP toolbar. It works, but the widget is clipped on windows, because it is too high. On OSX, the Scale fits perfectly in the toolbar. I didn't check on Linux yet.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
