defer to future as we don't find a solution to display image in XML XLS.
(In reply to comment #7) > defer to future as we don't find a solution to display image in XML XLS. > Can we output the data for the chart and create a real Excel chart instead of embedding an image? The number of duplicate bugs submitted for this enhancement indicates that it is a highly desired feature. I am adding the plan keyword for priority consideration in next release.
Any update on this?
(In reply to comment #9) > Any update on this? i use Birt 2.5.0 and still there are not graphs in excel, do you have any plan to add it?
BIRT uses SpreadsheetML to generate the Excel which doesn't support image/chart yet.
I recommend you to evaluate Actuate BIRT for your needs. In the next Actuate BIRT release, the Excel output will contain live charts and live formulas. The milestone builds are available for evaluation and you can find more information at:- http://www.birt-exchange.org/wiki/Actuate_11/.

Hello, I use Birt 2.6.2 and this bug doesn't seems to be corrected in this version. Thanks
BIRT by default doesn't support exporting of images and charts to excel. Neither it supports explicit multiple tabs. However, there are a couple of excel emitters which were developed as part of the Get Started With BIRT Contest which are available at the www.birt-exchange.org Devshare. I will suggest people to try them out.
