Build ID: I20070621-1340 Steps To Reproduce: Bugzilla features a "keywords" field that can be used to tag bugs. This field is used e.g. for the upcoming BugDay (see http://wiki.eclipse.org/BugDayFAQ and http://wiki.eclipse.org/BugDayJuly2007). As it stands now, one cannot query against this field using Mylyn. The only way around this is to creat the query using Bugzilla's web interface and paste the URL string in the Mylyn query wizard (suggested by Alex in http://www.eclipsezone.com/eclipse/forums/t99303.rhtml). While this works fine, it certainly is not satisfying at all and breaks the user experience. Please add support for the keywords field.
Glad someone thought it was a good idea :-)
I don't argue the usefullnes of the keywords (though query configuration UI is already crowded), but it would really improve usability if user could simply drag query url from browser right into the task list (right now it is creating a local task linked to the dragged url)... BTW, we have query export and import now. So, you could actually publish pre configured queries that users can then import.
(In reply to comment #1) > Glad someone thought it was a good idea :-) Yeah - I needed it for bugday. Maybe the Mylyn team wants to participate in BugDay as well and add this particular feature request to the BugDay bugs :-)
Apparently Wayne though of this while ago... *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 171724 ***
