Description Unknown User CLA 2001-10-10 22:23:36 EDT
1. Create a java project.
2. Expand the project.
3. Select .classpath.
4. Invoke Open With Default Text Editor.
Result: It takes about 7 seconds for the editor to open.
5. Close the editor.
6. Repeat step 4.
Result: Another 7 seconds, and so on.

This is way, way too slow for good productivity.

NOTES:

SA (7/12/2001 2:11:57 PM)
The first time I opened the default editor, it took several seconds. This is due
to class loading according to optimizeIt. However, if I close the editor and
open the file again, it opens very quickly. So I could not reproduce step 5 and 6
	above on windows 98.

This was caused by the Java plugin being loaded. Was fixed for 1.0
