Description Lynne Kues CLA 2002-06-08 09:42:36 EDT
Build 20020606.

1. Attempted to compare with latest from repository without a repository
connection (repository definition there, didn't have my DSL connected).
Message dev.eclipse.org not found ==> okay.
2. Made my DSL connection and tried again, the repository was still not found.
3. Disconnected my projects from CVS, then removed and added the repository
location back and tried to reconnect my projects to the repository. The
repository was still not found.
4. Exited and restarted Eclipse, at which point the repository was found.

Not very friendly. I think Step 3 should have worked and it would have been
nice if Step 2 worked.

We've seen this before and best we were able to summize its the JDK socket
library - once it thinks it can't find a host it won't again until you
restart. Or it maybe something more we're supposed to be doing to clear it
that we aren't.

Will take another run at it post 2.0.
