Description Adam Archer CLA 2007-07-17 10:13:34 EDT
The "-showlocation" argument puts the workspace location after the currently open editor in the title and taskbar. Ideally I'd like to be able to tell the workspace from looking at the taskbar or at least from the taskbar tooltip. Since the title is truncated in the tooltip (on Windows), it is not visible behind the current editor.

Also, if the path to the workspace is very long, it might even be preferable to show just the actual folder name rather than the entire path. This would save lots of space and I don't think I'm alone when I say that all my workspaces have the same root path.

As an aside it always shows "Java <rest of title>". This also wastes valuable space in the taskbar. I think omitting the "Java" and showing just the product name at the start (instead of leaving it until the end of the title) would be much nicer.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
