Hmmm, this works for me...what steps are you doing exactly? I used my current workspace (which has text on, right clicked on the PerspectiveSwitcher's button and (un)selected 'Show Text'. Then I shut down and restarted...no text...
hi, it's strange, i do exactly equals steps. Which version do you use? My System: Mac OS X (Tiger), Intel Eclipse Europa 3.3 (In reply to comment #3) > Hmmm, this works for me...what steps are you doing exactly? > > I used my current workspace (which has text on, right clicked on the > PerspectiveSwitcher's button and (un)selected 'Show Text'. Kevin, there is a known issue here that I'll try to track down the defect # for. Under certain conditions (using 'Dock on' ?) the text can be made to re-appear... Do you get this effect with a fresh workspace (i.e. new WS, -only- chagne the text setting, shut down/restart)?
I tried to change the dock position to the left side, after restart the position are not stored. yes i use a fresh workspace for my eclipse. This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
