+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #1654 +++

CQ:WIND00095334

Since Eclipse 3.1, multiple Console View Instances can be created and assigned different kind of contents. This is great, but if multiple such views are in the same window pane, users have a hard time finding the right one.

Things get worse when the window pane gets so many views that a dropdown is shown giving a list of views -- all consoles are just labelled "Console". Even the tool tip is the same for all the instances.

There should be some content description on the tooltip and/or numbering of the instances on the view tabs such that users know what Console to activate if they want a specific one.

See also bug #196456 for a similar issue with DSDP-TM Terminals.
Debug Memory Views have similar issue.

Not planned for 3.4

This still is an issue in 4.7.1. There really should be a preference or so to allow the User to set the Consoles' part name to the name of the launch config or so

Can you please attach the screenshot and steps to reproduce. When I run many programs, the consoles generated have the name of the program so I could distinguish.
