Description Dani Megert CLA 2007-07-05 11:32:16 EDT
+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #194417 +++

The encoding field editor should make it more obvious that a custom encoding can be entered manually into the combo field.

See bug 194417 comment for a suggestion.

Kevin, if I file a bug myself against Platform UI you can assume that it is most like not a Platform Text bug - after all I should know that best ;-)

Sigh, it was a very long list of bugs to triage in a 3 day work week and apparently I didn't look at this one close enough :)

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
