Currently the only way to branch is to checkout a project into your workspace and branch it from there.  It would be nice if we had the ability to create a branch from a remote tag or head revision directly from the repository browser.  The action should execute a cvs rtag -r "tag" -b "branch" operation

This patch is completely untested as i don't have access to a writable CVS at the moment.  The output on the CVS console for branching from head looked odd (-r "HEAD").  I should probably omit that option entirely.

No time to verify and test it now. Postponing to 3.5.

Removing 3.5 target milestone. We are in the end-game now. If anyone thinks this should be targeted at 3.6, please let me know.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
