EMF Model search participants should be displayed with Rational Common approach organization. This should allow users to easily select model seach meta-element participant of a same concern. Subsequently, this organization will propose all corresponding child meta-element for each possible diagrams kind, even if duplicates. For example, in UML2 a typical orginzation would be : [+] Activity Diagram [+] Use Case Diagram [+] Class Diagram [+] Sequence Diagram [+] Communication Diagram [+] State Machine Diagram [+] Component Diagram [+] Deployment Diagram [+] Composite Structure Diagram [+] Timing Diagram [+] Interaction Overview Diagram
This feature implies a grouping mechanism to be introduced in EMF Search results framework APIs which will probably have to be posptponed to next release due to high quality requirement from Eclipse process. We need to ensure the framework is stable enough with a release/graduation reviews before jumping to that improvement. This item will be part of another RFE for next release.
