It would be nice to have a if the the cvs plugin would be activated on eclipse startup. Otherwise I always have to switch the perspective first to run the scheduler.

We tend to shy away from the early startup hook since, if everyone did this, Eclipse would take forever to start. However, in most cases, the Tam plug-in ends up being loaded fairly early on since it has callbacks registered with the Resources plug-in (like the resource rule factory). We could probably get away with a mechanism at the Tam level to start the timer on any scheduled synchronizations when the Team plug-in starts.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.
