Description Simon Archer CLA 2007-05-23 14:16:07 EDT
Using Eclipse 3.3 M7

The "File > New Project... > From CVS" wizard is helpful in that it allows you to specify a new working set in which the loaded projects will reside. It would be even more helpful if the newly created working set was configured to be enabled, since without this it is not evident that the working set was created.

Today the loaded projects are simply placed in the "Other Projects" working sets. Please automatically configure the newly created working set so that it is visible, for example, in the Package Explorer.

I'm not sure if there is much CVS can do about this since I believe that the working set enablement is maintained in the Packages Explorer (i.e. it is not a workbench concept but is specific to JDT). I'm copying Martin in case he has any ideas on this.

I don't have an idea either. We have no API for this and also the CVS probably doesn't know JDT.
The package explorer could automatically add all newly created JDT working sets to its list, but I'm not sure if we want that.

Would it be possible to add it to Project Explorer's list of enabled working sets?

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
