Description Grant Gayed CLA 2007-05-22 17:15:39 EDT
3.3RC1

I see a lot of item flash in (for example) the Package Explorer's toolbar, when I resize the view by dragging the sash along its right edge. The flash is only apparent when the toolbar is too long to fit as the CTabFolder's top-right control, and therefore gets bumped down to its own row. This flash was not present in 3.2.2.

It's possible that this is an swt bug, but my initial guess is that it's not based on the toolbar not flashing when set as the CTabFolder's top-right control. If it turns out to be an swt problem then please move this report back, thanks.

Grant, good pickup. This was likely introduced by the fix for bug 122639. That fix was a must since it was preventing users from deeing available TB entries so I can't revert it.

The flicker seems to be Linux specific; I don't see it on my Vista box or Kim's Mac. If time permits I'll take a look but this may end up being fixed post-3.3...

This code is too delicate to change this late in the game...marking for 3.3.1.

Moving to 3.4 (too many other 3.3.x issues).

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
