Description Benno Baumgartner CLA 2007-05-22 06:34:07 EDT
I20070517-1700

1. Go to Preferences>Java>Editor>Templates
2. New...
3. In 'Pattern' type in $cu
4. Select 'cursor' from content assist
Is:
 $cu${cursor}
Should:
 ${cursor} or not show content assist or filter proposals based on the context
Comment 1 Dani Megert CLA 2007-05-22 08:35:27 EDT
Not implemented - like that since day one.
Comment 2 Benno Baumgartner CLA 2007-05-22 08:44:14 EDT
The strange thing though is if you type
${cu
then the code assist is context sensitive

Fix

This fixes the problem that completion doesn't get narrowed down on simple proposal name, e.g. when typing c<code assist>.

Since we're now at RC2 and there remain several other problems like:
$cu<code assist> --> $${cursor}
${cu --> ${cursor
...
we won't fix this for 3.3.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
