Description Xuan Chen CLA 2007-05-17 17:31:28 EDT
I created a Remote Project. Then inside it, I created a folder.
Then right click on the folder, choose New -> File to create a file.
I input file name as "aaa bbb"

I got the error "The directory could not be created".
And the details of the error is "Folder already exists".

Then I clicked OK on the error dialog. An editor opened, with text "Resource '/eeee/asdfasd/aaa bbb' does not exist."

I was able to do similar operations in a normally created eclipse general project.

I think that this is a duplicate of bug #186315.

This bug was due to several problems: I first had to fix bug 199552 and bug 199561 in order to reproduce the issue without getting Eclipse hung up.

In the end, I think the original problem was already fixed through bug 191581.

Bug #186315 does not seem to be related, the space character is handled properly.

This problem is fixed in 2.0.1 RC1.
