When you "Mark as Merged", if its your only incomming change and you are in the incoming mode, the sync view becomes empty. On the surface it looks like the change is gone. Maybe we should switch to outgoing if there are no incomming changes left
Surprising indeed. (Help! Where did my changes go?). We should fix this.

My 2c - I don't actually find this surprising at all. We were in incoming mode and there are no more incoming changes for any files. Therefore, the view should be empty. The file (after it's marked as merged) should appear in the Outgoing view, however - something which doesn't seem to happen at the moment ("Mark as merged removes the file from all views). Cheers, Dave.
I erred - "mark as merged" removes the file from the incoming view only. Dave.
In my opinion, automatically switching to the outgoing mode would be even more confusing... What about showing something like a grey text "no more incoming changes" instead of the emptyness?
The new Live Sync view does not have modes. However, the problem of indicating that there are changes that are not present in the view due to filters still remains. We are investigating solutions for this in the new sync view.
The new Synchronize View shows the outgoing/incoming/conflicting counts at the top of the view. I think this helps solve the initial problem in that not only are the incoming changes removed from the view, but the counts are updated. Kevin, please re-open if you think that this isn't addressing your initial problem.
