Not sure of steps, something like:

1. created a project named the same as one already existing
2. shared with that repo.  Repo location wasn't existing locally
3. created repo location
4. Got the message informing that project exists remotely, ok
5. I then got an error saying repo location already exists.

This caused the sharing to bail.  When I tried again, I had the repo location 
already and was able to share ok.
