Description Dorian Birsan CLA 2002-05-31 15:13:09 EDT
If help is up, and you do search from workbench or F1->click on related link,
the help viewer is refreshed with a new url, but the old state of the other
help views (tabs) changes. It would be nice to preserve it.

Will look at it post 2.0

Marking as P4 - unlikely to be looked at for 3.1.

Hi Dorian, can you explain this a little more. To me it looks as though if you get context help in an infopop and click on a link it switches to the help browser but leaves the tab containing the tree intact.
Comment 5 Dorian Birsan CLA 2007-06-15 18:29:04 EDT
Yes. As the links tab is refreshed to show the related links carried over from the infopop, all the other tabs in the help browser should be left untouched. Or at least, should appear untouched. For example, if the help browser was displaying the search tab with a particular search result selected, and you click in a workbench infopop, the browser's links tab displays the related topics from the infopop, but the search tab would still display the same old results and selected hit.

For several releases Help/Search and F1 help has opened in the help view, not the help browser so this is no longer a problem. Closing
