Clipping doesn't support in PPT.
If we use pdf layout to render ppt, this bug can't be fixed. We should provide another special layout manager for ppt.

Hi, does this mean this is a limitation of a 3rd party tool? Could you help confirm this? If not, could you help confirm whether this will be fixed? Many thanks. - Steven.
Hi JingWen, in bug 307331, you mentioned that the work-around is to re-size. We tried to do this, and it is painstakingly difficult. This is because when the file is opened in ppt, the table which is shown in the ppt file are actually made up of individual vertical/horizontal drawing lines. Therefore, resizing the columns is quite an difficult task for the end user, as it would mean moving lines physically for all columns, which renders the exported report as not very useful for editing. If this can be fixed or made better, it would be great. Please let us know your thoughts. Thanks. - Steven.
Response from Cheng-Yee Lin via Email: - Yes, as Wenfeng (the PMC lead for BIRT) mentioned in his comment (Comment 17), the Microsoft PPT (PowerPoint) does not provide adequate API for resizing the comments programmatically, so when BIRT generates the PPT report, it has no way to do proper resizing. It would require Microsoft to provide proper API for resolving this issue. Thanks, -- Cheng-Yee Looks to be a 3rd party issue for PPT. Has a request been made to the 3rd party developer for this function? If so, please could you kindly provide a reference number here for tracking purposes. Thanks. - Steven.
