It would be great if I could define a template for a patch file name (similar to the Commit Comment Template).

This could look like this: "c:\patches\patch_${task.key}_${date.YYYY}${date.MM}${date.DD}.txt"
Comment 1 Eugene Kuleshov CLA 2007-04-18 08:26:30 EDT
Tomasz, can you please elaborate on complete use case and also specify where this template going to be used? Note that Mylar don't really create or apply any patches, it is just delegating to team actions.

This is what I would like to get.

I see... and like I said, this is NOT a Mylar's dialog. Moving to Platform/CVS.

You could certainly define a template in CVS that built the patch name using the current date but to include the task name, you would need to add API of some form to CVS.
Comment 5 Eugene Kuleshov CLA 2007-04-18 17:58:39 EDT
Michael, it sounds like it would require to make "create patch" action API, perhaps similarly to "apply patch" action added in 3.3... But even then, patch wizard is created and invoked by CVS plugin, so it is unclear how it would get something outside of its own knowledge.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
