Description Steve Hufnagel CLA 2007-04-17 11:42:23 EDT
Build ID: M20070212-1330

Steps To Reproduce:
1.Edit a file on a FTP site.
2.Click save
3.Eventually Eclipse will hang. Usually within 10 tries Terminating it will generate a popup with the first line stating:

JVM Terminated. Exit code=-805306369

At that point the file on the FTP server is empty. Not good - especially when it was filled with code from a minute before.

More information:
I am running this on Windows Vista Basic - don't hold that against me. It is a wireless connection to a DSL modem and a very fast and reliable on at that.

How did you get to edit the file on the FTP site? Which plug-ins are you using?

Eclipse FTP and WebDAV Support

What do you mean by "Edit a file on an FTP site"? The FTP/WebDAV feature doesn't provide direct remote file editing. Have you installed other plug-ins as well?
Comment 5 Michael Valenta CLA 2007-04-30 10:05:17 EDT
We're removing the FTP feature and will no longer be maintaining the Code (see bug 184698). You should investigate using the Target Management Remote System Explorer (http://www.eclipse.org/dsdp/tm/).
