I have just installed a new 3.3 M6 build and have one project loaded from CVS. Since it's a new workspace, I have the setting so that background jobs shows in a dialog. When I save a file I'll often see the builder blocking the save of the file (eg, they are competing for the ever popular workspace lock). 

What doesn't make sense to me is that the message which is always shown in the progress dialog when this happens is "Verifying team.ui/plugin.xml". It seems strange that this is running when I save a single java file. Why is it running and why is it slow?

not sure why the blocking, but I am sure it should not be running when you save a Java file.

this is a long-standing performance issue that I plan to address this milestone.
