You can't just delete the task we generate to tell you that you have a resource not under version control. For those cases where you neither want to version control it nor ignore it, it would be good to just be able to delete the task. Since its an information task, it seems consistent to be able to manually get rid of it.
CVS tasks can be disable in the preferences page but this would turn off all CVS tasks. To delete tasks on a single resource is not as easy as it seems. The state of a resource is used to determine whether a task exists or not. To support this, we would have to maintain additional state to indicate that the task is not to be displayed.
A more general solution would be the ability to hide individual tasks in the task view (and maybe a setting to show hidden task so they can be unhidden if desired).
Why is "Mark Completed" disabled (in the task list UI)? Then you could delete completed.
There is a difference between a user generated task (which you can mark completed) and a error/warning/info marker (which are not tasks so they cannot be marked as completed).
