Description Andre Weinand CLA 2007-02-02 19:28:01 EST
Eclipse 3.3 M4

I can't move the sash between the preferences tree and the preferences pages.
That makes some of the nested panes difficult to use.

Andre, is this still happening to you?
Comment 3 Andre Weinand CLA 2007-07-03 04:07:19 EDT
I can move the Sash in Eclipse 3.3. So this problem is gone.
However, moving the Sash still has the problem that the preference window's size "jumps".
Try this:
- open preference dialog
- got to "Keys" page
-> window gets wider
- go to "General"
- make window smaller (more narrow)
- move Sash a bit
-> window size jumps back to the large size it had when showing the "Keys" page

thanks, Andre. Retitling bug to reflect the remaining issue.
I'll take a look at this and other Mac bugs sometime around M2.
You mention "still has the problem." Do you recall if this has always been the case or did it creep up sometime during 3.3?
Comment 5 Andre Weinand CLA 2007-07-03 16:46:09 EDT
Susan, I think I saw that problem before 3.3 and probably a bug exists for it.
Comment 6 Susan McCourt CLA 2007-07-05 14:09:45 EDT
I'll keep this bug open to track the issue for now.

Removing milestone. We simply ran out of time.

I'm not certain that this is the same behavior being described above, so I wanted to note it. In 3.4.1 (Mac), when I move the sash (left or right), the dialog increases size. It doesn't appear to jump to any previously used size, it just grows linearly.

This is build M20080911-1700.
