Build ID: I20061102-1715 I have several project open at the same time. I ask to synchronize the cvs workspace. "Show Change Set" is enabled. I press incomming and the tab label says "synchronize" in italic and after a while in normal. If I press the outgoing icon or press the "change to outgoing mode" while the label is italic, the outgoing view is completly empty or in some strange state. I can see the expected changes by choosing the incoming view, wait and the go to the outgoing view.
It would be helpful if you could provide a screenshot.

Oops, Sorry about the size of the attachments. Note that this seems reproducable everytime. The first time synchronize is pressed a popwindows about cvs process is shown, but not the following times (if nothing is edited).
Thanks for the screen shots. From them, I see you are using the old style synchronization. We actually have two methods of synchronizing (see http://wiki.eclipse.org/index.php/CVS_FAQ#Synchronizing_has_some_regressions_in_Eclipse_3.2._Why.3F for details). You are using the non-model based synchronization. he Change Set model in the new model based synchronization may improve the situation. Also, we are not actively maintaining the old style synchronizations but patches will be accepted.

> You are using the non-model based synchronization. If I understand my options correct I have model based set?
The preference only affects new Synchronizations. Based on the screen shot, you have an existing synchronization that is non-model based. You can remove it using the view drop-down menu and then perform a Synchronize to create a new model-based synchronization.

Hmm. Closed the synchronize tab in "Team Synchronize" perspective. Closed the "Team Synchronize" perspective. Opened the perspective, opened the view. Chose the synchronize icon and synchronized for the workspace: same result. Found your dropdown menu and removed the synchronization, added it again. And it worked (e.i. bug closed). Thanks. Not that intuitive/visual about the changes though.
Hmm, maybe to quick here; the bug is still there but only in the non-model mode. Maybe change the summary?
This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
