Description Christophe Bismuth CLA 2007-01-25 10:00:08 EST
Dear Team,

Preferences > Team > File Content
Could you add import / export buttons to this so useful dialog, please?

Thanks,
Christophe

To export preferences, you need to go to File/Export and select General/Preferences. You can then import the exported preferences into another Eclipse using File/Import.

Is it possible to do that without overwriting other Eclipse settings? Without hacking Eclipse preferences (*.epf) file?

Our File Content diablog contains a lot of information, it would have been great to have a dedicated XML file.

The best approach would be to create a Team preference transfer for ignored types and file content types. CVS already defines one for Repository locations

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
