Steps To Reproduce:
1. Select some text in an editor
2. Open "Open Resource" dialog
3. The text you have selected will be the initial pattern for the dialog. Whole text will be selected. However, if selected text is longer than ~11 chars it will shifted, so you won't be able to see first chars.

More information:
I belive "Open Type" dialog will act same way as it also extends FilteredItemsSelectionDialog.

I am going to wait for the result of Bug 172005 as I got a deadlock while testing this one.

This patch does not seem to fix the problem - I am still having the issue at the beginning.

Open ContainerSelectionDialog and select the first line of the class comment and hit Ctrl+Shift+r.
