Eclipse used to be able to import the archive files it exports; but now it no longer allows imports to "./". Because of this 'validation' fault you can no longer import what you export!
Karice can we discuss this when you get a minute please
You can export and then import as project
(In reply to comment #2) > You can export and then import as project > Technically speaking you 'can' extract the zip archive and then import it as a file system, but then that it still means that where in previous versions where you were able to export as a zip and then import that same zip into the project we are NO LONGER able to do so. And technically speaking you 'can' also export as a file system and import that; all I've pointed out is the redundancy of the import/export feature due to the incompatibilities with itself - i.e. the export is NOT compatible with the import. In version 3.2.2 (most recent) the problem persists. Basically there was a change in the validation at sometime (after 2005), and that validation change stopped this interaction, i.e. you WERE able to take those exact steps and import exactly what is exported by Eclipse, now you can NOT import archived files that Eclipse exports.
As per http://wiki.eclipse.org/Platform_UI/Bug_Triage_Change_2009
This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
