1. Create a project 2. Within the project create a folder using the name "TestALFConfig" 3. Import the sample ALF configuration into the created project 4. Open all four ALF files; *evt, *svc, *alf 5. Notice all of the designers are blank The ALF designers are intended to be used within projects. However, some users will want to place their ALF nested within folder. Can we make the ALF designers work if all of the related files are contained in the same project or folder

Tim your inputs need on it. According to our understanding a Project can have n number of .alf files but a single .evt, .svc file shared by n .alf files. If at a user wants to have a folder created , then the only option would be to have (.alf) file placed into it and not .evt and .svc file. Being that the case i don't find any reason for having the .alf file in a seperate folder, when we have option to create multiple .alf files in a single project. Your comments expected Tim.

This is an odd case. It is outside the current intended use which is to create an ALF Project in a workspace. There is no good use case I can see for importing the ALF project files to an arbitrary folder. That said the behaviour is rather peculiar. Possibly this behaviour can be controlled with eclipse "natures" It should be possible to import an ALF project to the workspace and import a .alf file to an ALF project. These cases appear to work. In the future it would be nice if importing a .evt and .svc file would merge content with the existing .evt and .svc rather than just importing the file. We will look at this again later
