Description dave CLA 2006-12-20 05:24:28 EST
When Searching for anything in the File search even with * and with all workpace and file patterns NO search results are found.Search runs for half a second and returns with no results. I am sure the text exists in the file.

Running fedora core 6 and eclipse 3.2.

Are all files in sync?
Any extra plugins installed?
What kind of files are in your workspace?

Can you check the .log file?

I 'm trying to get access to fedora core. Would it be possible for you to simplify the setup?
For example I'd be happy if you could try a fresh 3.2 Eclipse SDK install (no extra plugins) with a single project with a single file with some content (let's say 'xxxxxx'). Then do a search for 'x', files '*' in the workspace.

OK I've downloaded and installed the standard 3.2 no plugins and the seach failed. I've also got the fedora core eclipse and it also fails with that as well.

To summarise Eclipse core 3.2 created file with xxxxx searched for x in * in workspace and no results.
