I periodically get sleeping jobs showing up in the Progress view, even though I have the "Show sleeping and system operations" pref unchecked.

This is a periodic job. I suspect it shows when it runs normally, but then isn't cleared when it goes back to sleeping.

I had a fix that did not depend on Bug 219433 but generated too many events. I am going to need the fix to Bug 219433 after all.

Patch

I have released this patch to HEAD. However this will not fix the issue until Bug Bug 219433 is fixed.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.
