Description alan flisch CLA 2006-11-30 06:42:55 EST
Example Use Case:
There is a eclipse based tool I use that creates large numbers of files in the project that have no extension. This mean that when I wish to add them to CVS I have to manually change each files type from BINARY to ASCII one at a time. It would be useful if I could select a group of these files and make this change in one operation.

Alternatively (or addtionally) there should perhaps be an option to change the defaults such that files with no extension can be assumed to be ASCII.

I agree that this would be useful. Unfortunately, we do not have the manpower to address this issue. Contributions are welcome.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
