Description Brock Janiczak CLA 2006-11-14 06:58:54 EST
Since 3.2 it has been possible to add new tabs to the tabbed properties view. It might be nice to have CVS expose the CVS state in this view. I will attach a patch containing my first attempt at this, but it only works for selections made from the project explorer as it is the only view so far that uses the tabbed property view.

Patch to org.eclipse.team.cvs.ui

Rough implementation of a tabbed property page for CVS. All of the modal property pages are present in the view. It could be extended to support the operations like "Change Sharing"

TODO:
- NLS
- listen to sync events to update the properties

Thanks for the patch. Unfortunately, it appears that the use of a filter defined in the CVS plug-in will cause the CVS plug-in to be loaded even if the user has no CVS projects in their workspace. It also appears that there is no way to avoid this with the current shape of the tabbed properties view contributions. I have logged bug 165160 requesting the ability to defined declarative filters.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
