Description Corey Ashford CLA 2006-11-13 18:43:18 EST
I am seeing a failure in the org.eclipse.ui.tests.CompareViewersPref test. This is the only failing test in the org.eclipse.ui.tests suite. My machine is running SLES 10 on PowerPC. The JVM I'm using is the one straight out of the release, but I've tried 1.4.2r6 and 1.5.0 with identical results.

The error message I'm seeing is as follows:

Warning: Button {Restore &Defaults} Actual Width -> 0 Recommended Width -> 111

junit.framework.AssertionFailedError: Warning: Button {Restore &Defaults}
Actual Width -> 0
Recommended Width -> 111

Although the test is testing the Compare preference page, it is a UI component test suite. Moving this back to UI.
Comment 2 Susan McCourt CLA 2007-02-13 12:30:13 EST
Corey, are you still seeing this failure?
Comment 3 Corey Ashford CLA 2007-02-13 12:48:49 EST
Yes, I'm still seeing it in 3.3M4
Comment 4 Corey Ashford CLA 2007-05-14 19:08:01 EDT
I'd like to note that I'm still seeing this error in Eclipse 3.3M7 with IBM Java 1.4.2, 5.0, and early access 6.0.

see also bug #44655. Same test failing, different symptom

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
