Description David I CLA 2006-10-06 17:28:07 EDT
If I have 3 windows in a particular frame like this:

+-----------+
 w1
+-----------+ D1
 w2
+-----------+ D2
 w3
+-----------+

And I use divider D1 to resize w1/w2, w3 is not affected. This is good.

However, if I use divider D2 to resize w2/w3, all 3 windows are affected. Not good. I only want w2 and w3 to be affected since I'm using the divider that seperates them. e.g. I don't want w1 affected if I'm using divider D2.

Similarly, if I have 4 windows:

+-----------+
 w1
+-----------+ D1
 w2
+-----------+ D2
 w3
+-----------+ D3
 w4
+-----------+

If I use divider D1, w1 and w2 are affected. w3 and w4 are not. This is good.
If I use divider D2, ALL windows are affected. Not good. I would like w2 and w3 to be affected, but not w1 and w4.
If I use divider D3, only windows w3 and w4 are affected. This is good.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
