Description Markus Milleder CLA 2006-09-26 05:15:17 EDT
Both PDE Cheatsheets (Command Composer, see New&Noteworthy for 3.3.M2) and TPTP AutoGUI (see Bug 110337) contain macro/scripting support for Eclipse commands.

While simplistic key recording has been declined as too fragile to solve bug 8519, any of these two might actually be a solution to the problem posed there.

Please consider the two existing solutions and create a platform offering from them.

There are likely more macro/scripting-related bugs that would benefit from such a solution.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
