1. Wrote an RCP Application with an editor and a toolbar above the editor.
2. I couldnt set the toolitem Checked = true (that is toolitem in pressed state) in the toolbar whenever the application is opened.

Since this deals with an application problem during runtime instead of development, reassigning to Platform.

Do you use the state attribute on your action?  Is it contributed using org.eclipse.ui.editorActions?
