Description Mike CLA 2006-08-18 12:39:28 EDT
Under Preferences, General > Compare/Patch, General tab, the check box: "Show additional compare information in the status line", should apply to both the dialog and the perspective (currently missing from the dialog). Ideally, that status line information should refer to "Local file (1.11)" and "Remote file (1.12)", instead of "Left" and "Right". The status line information is the only accessible means to determine the type of difference between the local file and the remote file.

I have added the status line to the comapre dialogs. I have left the status labels (Left and Right) the same but have used those as a prefix of the accessible names of the text panes so the user should be able to make the association.
