If you drag a file into the Project Explorer and hover over the "JRE System Libraries" entry it will auto-expand but not actually show anything...picture coming.

Tried this both on Windows and Linux (on 3.4), and it will no longer auto expand the JRE System Libraries, which makes sense because you can't drop something there.

It does properly auto-expand folders where the drop is allowed.

So something must have fixed this.
