Description Bill Lund CLA 2006-07-20 10:03:22 EDT
I would like the ability to rate certain annotations as more important than others for the Overview Ruler. I'm looking at an editor right now that has a Warnings match hiding an Occurrances match. I'd like to decide for myself that Occurrances matches are the most important thing to show in the Overview Ruler.

At a minimum, can you rearrange the priorities to make more sense? I thought perhaps you had decided that Warnings were more important than Occurrances, but after introducing an intentional error, the Warning takes preference over the Error. Clearly that is not ideal.

What I think would be easiest is if the General > Editors > Text Editors > Annotations > Annotation types list was modifiable with move up/down operations.

Props to whomever was responsible for creating the Overview Ruler, it is a tremendous help.

Apologies if this is already a feature that I cannot find or a duplicate request.

Strike this part of the request, the error that I inserted to test this was not an error at all. By truly introducing an error the red line did take preference as it should.
