During CVS annotation, highlighting lines in the file should highlight lines in the annotation Looking at a block of code I normally highlight the section. I'd like to see the annotation for the block highlighted too.
What do you mean by "highlighting"? Do you mean selecting? Also, you say "highlight lines in the annotation". Could you explain what you mean by "annotation"?
Yes highlighting = selecting The effect of holding down shift on a line in the text file and pressing up or down arrows. Then the CVS annotation panel which currently selects/highlights 1 line based only on (?)where the cursor is(?) should select/highlight more than 1 line as needed to match the text file.
Although this may be a handy feature, I suspect it will not be easy to do. You are welcome to investigate it and provide a patch if you find that it is not hard to implement.
There is no plan to address this item
why can't this just stay open?
It can if it makes you feel better. There's is still no plan to address it though.
Sorry if my last comment seems a bit flippant. I'm trying to reduce the over 1000 bugs in my components to a manageable number and I hope you understand that the process tends to be a bit tedious and mind numbing. I do have one question for you. Is your request based on the old annotation view that showed the authors and revisions or on the annotation support that is integrated with the editor (i.e. appears at the left hand side of the editor)?
(In reply to comment #7) No problem, I do understand. And yes it does make me feel better ! Yes, its the one with the authors and revisions.
This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
