Well when there's an editor assigned to the first column of the Tree the editor in some situations it is drawn above the borders of the column.

Tom, I'm guessing that this is related to bug 150272 (i.e. if the cell editor weren't 'pretending' that there was an image and offsetting the text control that it would fit into the colunm.

This comment is just to capture that relationship (since they're technically not 'dups'.

Well the interesting thing is that bug 150272 only happens on Gtk whereas this bug on all OSes

... the problem here is that the CellEditor has a minimum which depends on the size calculated by the widget. This could easily exceed the column width

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.
