I request the addition of a contribute to registry to the IVEContributor that is used whenever the editor gets a new VM. Using just the JEM contributor is often insufficient as the initializations are applied to the 'spare' VM in this case, which is too early for registry contributions that use preference values, because if you change the preferences then they are not applied when opening the next editor (as it uses the spare VM which has already had its contributions applied).This would also fix the bug relating to the application of the Look and Feel preferences.
I have spoke with Rich Kulp over email, and he thinks it is a good idea.
