A very useful feature I miss on the compare editor is a way to scroll both 
panes horizontally at the same time (the same we have for the vertical scroll).

I would suggest a new horizontal scroll bar below the existing one (at the 
botton of the editor) so we could choose between scroll just one pane or both 
of them (the new scroll bar would have to synchronize the panes if they are in 
different horizontal scroll positions).
