Description Neil Rickards CLA 2006-05-17 10:55:06 EDT
Eclipse has a beautiful file compare view. I would like to use it to compare arbitrary files on my system. I load /tmp/log1.txt and /tmp/log2.txt then look for a UI action to comapre them. The only one I can find (Compare With -> Each Other) relies on them being in a project.

Ideas include:
+ Ctrl-select multiple editors and right-click "Compare with each other"
+ Right-click on editor tab and "Compare with..."
+ "Edit" -> "Compare with..."

For what it's worth, CodeWarrior provides "Search" -> "Compare Files..."
